Lamis Elhadidy ((アラビア語:لميس الحديدي)) is one of the top TV anchors in Egypt who graduated the American University in Cairo, Egypt.

The CBC Network is rated as 2 out of 4 in popular ratings for Egyptian television channel. Elhadidy was chosen as the best TV anchor in two mass polls conducted by the Al ahram newspaper, and Almasry Al Youm independent daily, for her TV shows in 2010. The shows also received the highest commercial sales at that time. Elhadidy presented several programs since 2005 for the Egyptian television channel. The most recent was Menalbmasr (from the heart of Egypt), the most popular 3 days a week show that covered the latest events in Egypt, and was banned during revolution days by Egyptian authorities, then resumed to cover the aftermath of the revolution and the fall of Mubarak regime. From 2005-2009 she had a famous weekly political talk show Itkallem and her daily show in Ramadan on Egypt TV received the highest viewer ship numbers in Egypt, according to many rating agencies. Lamees is also the executive chief editor of the business daily Al Alam Al youm in Cairo, and well known for her strong economic pro market economy views. A graduate of the American University in Cairo, Lamees also holds a master's degree in Broadcast journalism with highest honors in 1991. Lamees started her long career in journalism and TV with the American TV network NBC, as an assistant producer in its Cairo bureau at 1987 .Then she moved to the New York Times Cairo office as a reporter for 3 years. In 1991 she co-established the first Arab business daily paper, Al Alam Al youm. Lamees is now the Executive chief editor of its weekly edition since 2005. On television, she joined MBC Arabic network from 1994-99 as its correspondent between Dubai and Cairo, then she moved to Al Jazeera as its Cairo business correspondent from 99-2003. From 2003-2005 she was the Bureau Chief of CNBC Arabia in Cairo. Fm 2005-2009 Lamees was the Senior Business Correspondent of Al Arabia channel in Cairo. Throughout her long career, Ms Hadidi has interviewed many regional and International figures; such as: US secretary of State Hillary Clinton(the first interview in Egypt), British Former Foreign Minister Miliband, British ex Prime Minister Tony Blair, Benita Ferrero of the European Commission, Khafier Solana, Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas, Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal, Lebanese ex Prime Minister Saad El Hariri, Tunisian Islamic leader Rashed el Ghanoushi, World bank President Robert Zoellick, Iranian ex Empress Farah Pahalavy, Sudanese ex Prime minister Sadek el Mahdy, Egyptian Surgeon Magdy Yakub, Egyptian Gynecologist Dr. Mohamed el tarranisy. Denis Ross, Martin Indick, David Welch, political senior columnist Thomas Friedman, US ambassador to Cairo Margret Scoby, ex US ambassador Riccardony, Palestinian Prime minister Salam Fayad, Palestinian foreign minister Ryadh el malky, EX prime minister Saniora, most of the Egyptian ex and current officials. On her various TV shows, Ms Hadidi had many field trips to Gaza after the Israeli attacks 2008, Lebanon, had a famous investigative report on Gamal Mubarak's wealth in London. She follows on her program all local, regional and international events. Lamees was chosen in 2005 as the first Arab journalist to join the Young Arab leaders of the International Economic forum of Davos. She presented several working papers at the UNESCO and the Davos forum. In addition to talking several courses at Reuters, Tufts University, Christian Science monitor on Journalism. Lamees is also known for her political and economic writings. She has a weekly column at Al alam al youm paper, and al masry al youm paper.
